Arizona Water and Wastewater Rates Survey

Every other year WIFA conducts a rate survey to provide information on residential water rates, and assist utilities with their pricing efforts. The survey information is compiled into a report, which provides a detailed examination of current statewide water and wastewater (sewer) pricing and financial trends.

WIFA again partnered with the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to conduct the survey and produce the report. The research summary report, 2017 Arizona Water & Wastewater Rates Report, analyzes residential drinking water and wastewater data from nearly 91% of Arizona’s water/wastewater utilities.

The report was expanded in 2015 to include commercial drinking water and wastewater data, in addition to reclaimed water, and, new this year, stormwater rates. For more information and report highlights, see WIFA’s press release for report highlights.
